The NFL Draft is done. Fantasy season is coming. Before your commissioner hits randomize on next year's schedule, they should probably read this. In a 12-team / 14-week regular season league, every team plays 3 opponents twice. Which 3? Basically random. And with 66 possible pairs in your league, about 4 of them will get doubled in 3+ of 4 seasons. That means someone in your league is playing the same opponent twice almost every year, while other pairs never repeat. The numbers vary by league size, but the problem exists in any format in which some opponents are played twice. I built a free tool that fixes this: doublecheckff.com It connects directly to Sleeper, ESPN, and Yahoo. Your commissioner just enters the league ID, and it automatically pulls the history, shows which pairs have been doubled recently, and generates a schedule that fairly rotates doubles so every opponent gets doubled exactly once over a full cycle. Works for 8-14 team leagues with 13-15 week regular seasons. Takes about 2 minutes. Send this to your commissioner. Full transparency - I used AI to help build the tool and write this post. But the math is real, and the tool is completely free, open-source, and requires no account. Just a commissioner who got annoyed by the same scheduling problem every year and decided to fix it. doublecheckff.com submitted by /u/YunG00n [link] [comments]
