Curious what everyone’s order is for the top 3 receivers in this years draft is. I don’t see a perfect prospect none of them look bad on their highlights but I’ll discuss my pros and cons of the 3 and my current ranking as to how I would draft them I currently hold the 1.04 so I am either getting one of them or Mendoza it seems. Might trade down but unlikely. Carnell Tate Pros: best tape of the 3. Seems to be the best route runner as he can get open without 4.2 speed and make contested catches. Good competition at Ohio State. Cons: That 40 was slow to justify on a top 4 pick, but route running makes up for it and should keep him relevant for years in the league. As the least dense player of the group a 4.5 time kinda sucks but I don’t believe either of the others ever ran an official 40. Production is the lowest of the group. None of the 3 guys have insane production but it is worth mentioning. Jeremiah Smith being there limited his production. At the same time he was not facing the 1st corner a lot because of Smith. Makai Lemon Pros: Most explosive by far. Good competition at USC although for the most part a step down from OSU. Stats show a good overall progression year to year and is coming off last season with the best of the 3 and an award to boot that probably belongs to Jeremiah Smith. Cons: while he does make some contested catches he is the worst of the 3. He also is the shortest and reminds me more of a Devonta smith than a Cee Dee Lamb. Dj Moore may be a good comp for him. He is built pretty densely and strong but it is tough to tell if the elusiveness that he has in college is due to him being that tough to tackle or just that college football defenses are full of guys that just can’t tackle. Jordyn Tyson Pros: best receiver build of the group. Has shown some very good highlight reel catches. Made a decent amount of production in spite of his team around him and not because of it, highlight wise atleast he was caring a lot more poorly thrown balls than the other 2. Has the tooling to become a WR1 reminds me of Nico Collins. Con’s: Faced lower competition. Is the rawest of the group, is probably the worst route runner of the 3 and doesn’t have an elite trait besides size to make up for it and I wouldn’t call his size elite. The hamstring injury is concerning. He missed a year with a torn ACL already and then he had a lingering hamstring injury this year and didn’t participate in the combine or pro day because of it. Production was a little bit down from the year before per game and the hamstring likely played a part in that. Still would have liked to seen more production from him given the competition. TLDR My rankings currently are Tate Lemon Tyson (post injury) Without the hamstring injury I think I like Tyson better than Lemon but Tate has the best eye test of the group curious what others think of them and rank them and compare them to other classes I see a best case scenario Garrett Wilson Dj Moore Nico Collins role for the 3 with a Keon Coleman laviska Shenault n’keal harry floor but some of those comps may be the uniforms talking😅 submitted by /u/billsmafia71614206 [link] [comments]
