Been intrigued by the supplemental draft discussion and was pondering who is a sneaky team that could take Sorsby to be their QB2 behind a good, but older QB? I think the bad teams either stocked up on vet or rookie lotto ticket QBs the last two years and/or want 2027 franchise types so he’s likelier as a backup for a “decent - good” team. The “bad” teams that have a lot of QBs in the mix or desperate for Arch/Moore/Etc: -Browns: Watson, Sanders, Dillon, Taylen Green -Cardinals: Brissett, Beck, Minshew -Fins: Willis, Ewers, cam miller -Jets: Geno, Klubnik, Brady Cook Admittedly, this is not prohibitive but not clear upgrades for the QB2. I then thought about middling teams: -Steelers: Rodgers (old), Howard, Allar -Giants: Dart (injury prone?), Jameis, Brandon Allen -Bucs: Baker (contract year), browning, Daniels -Colts: Daniel Jones (injury rehab), AR, Leonard Bucs and Giants could be sneaky for QB2 upgrading. Then the playoffs-type teams: Green Bay: Love, tyrod Taylor, McCord Dallas: Dak, Milton, Howell Panthers: Young, Pickett, Will Grier Maybe Tampa, Green Bay, Dallas, Panthers, or Giants would be willing to invest in Sorsby as QB2 and should be in the mix with the cardinals, dolphins. If he was the backup to Baker or Bryce Young and got 3rd/4th round DC, do you think you personally would want him for dynasty and how badly? seems like a potential pathway to starting albeit not guaranteed and perhaps more probable to be a mid-term backup in most situations. Personally, the relapse risk and the likely backup profile makes me want someone else to spend their time on the asset. I view it as a premium taxi squad asset for a rebuilder, worth 50% FAAB in a straight up waiver bid or a late 2nd-mid 3rd rounder in 2026 rookie drafts that haven’t occurred yet. submitted by /u/TheTealDeal5 [link] [comments]
