RB1 Trends (2015-2025) Rookie Factor (11 of 11) No rookie running back has finished as the overall RB1 during this span. Prior Top-10 Finish (10 of 11) Only Devonta Freeman broke out out of nowhere and finished as the RB1. 80-Target Potential (9 of 11) Only Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley managed to finish as the RB1 without reaching 80 targets. This factor requires some projection based on a player's role and receiving upside. AFC/NFC Factor (9 of 11) A strange trend, but nine of the last 11 RB1 seasons came from NFC running backs. The only AFC exceptions were Jonathan Taylor and Austin Ekeler. No Repeat Factor (8 of 11) Only Christian McCaffrey and Todd Gurley were able to repeat as the overall RB1.
