I know there have several subs about Hunter including the one that appears on the r/DynastyFF feed as a highly suggested "best" post - [Evan Sidery] Jags are making Travis Hunter a full time CB per @rapsheet https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/1sh6ixi/evan_sidery_jags_are_making_travis_hunter_a_full/ Then there was this one today that focused on his receiver snaps - “The plan has not changed at all” - HC Liam Coen on Travis Hunter’s https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/1t5iz96/the_plan_has_not_changed_at_all_hc_liam_coen_on/ The Jag's HC's comments were also supported by Jags GM James Gladstone - Jaguars GM James Gladstone said Travis Hunter “is set to play both sides of the ball” in 2026 - https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=0000019d-fecc-d317-a1dd-fefd23390000 Also here for the full interview: https://x.com/RichEisenShow/status/2052099511288516820 I usually assume all offseason NFL team talk is just PR and jargon/coach-speak but it's at least nice to see the Jaguars management and coaching staff seemingly of the same mind. But I was never high to begin with on Travis Hunter the two-way player because mostly I had doubts that he could stay healthy enough to play both sides meaningfully. His rookie season did nothing to dispel my doubts on that. In spite of that though, I'm starting to think I would be interested at a relatively even or slight above average price (as always depending on roster composition and trade components). That's because, after today's comments from both the GM and HC, I'm hoping for near full-time snaps at CB and - just guessing - about 10-12 snaps at WR. With those 10-12 offensive snaps that's maybe getting 2-3 catches per game (assuming there's not a significant jump in his metrics/efficiencies from '25-'26 to '26-'27). I'd also hope that a more defined set of roles will translate into better efficiencies/production. If I get a player that can do that I'd be happy. (As a part-time WR in his rookie season represented simply as 4 starts in 7games - he had 4 catches per game on 6.4 targets with 45 total targets on 164 offensive snaps (23 per game)). There's lots of opinions about him on those other subs. And, again, it's mostly WR oriented. As noted above I think, *this year* (with the set of pass catchers the Jags have), Hunter will play mostly on defense and have a variety of manufactured offensive touches each game. That doesn't mean he will forever be predominantly a CB. So what kind of production projection does the community have for Hunter? I don't really put a lot of stock in trade site values so what have you seen him traded for in IDP leagues? submitted by /u/terribleD03 [link] [comments]
