We begin with our 2026 “Perfect Draft” strategy series , focusing on how to win your startup dynasty drafts. Anyone who has followed us for any length of time knows you can’t enter a draft without a strategy, but which strategy you choose will directly affect who you want to target. With that in mind, these are the strategies we’re going to cover: Win Now Value Balanced Productive Struggle Fake Punt Bully QB/TE Zero RB Robust RB Today, we’ll continue the series with a balanced strategy in a single-quarterback format. A balanced draft is effectively the midpoint of the aggregate of the other draft strategies shown in the bulleted list above. A good result should yield a team that is ready to compete right away, as well as in a three-year window, and shouldn’t inherently skew towards the presence or absence of a certain position. Analogous to the teachings of Mr. Miyagi, the balanced drafter allows more dogmatic owners to “attack” their selections with a narrow focus, while playing “defense” in the form of open-mindedness to the strengths of all available players. Given the overarching mantra of “take the best player available,” this tactic may be toughest to predict in real life, as the bullishness of others may influence drift from ADP. Still, it remains a worthwhile exercise to prognosticate potential outputs. So, by using DLF’s June 2026 1QB Dynasty ADP let’s have the perfect dynasty draft implementing the balanced strategy! First Round Early (Team 1): Jaxon Smith-Njigba , WR SEA It’s hard to go wrong at the top. However, JSN was the PPR WR10 in 2024, and then rocketed to a status as the PPR WR2 last season. And while it’s splitting hairs, his two fewer years of age as compared to Ja'Marr Chase provide some additional flexibility from a forward-thinking perspective. Still, this pick will ultimately come down to preference, with Chase, Bijan Robinson , and Jahmyr Gibbs also warranting selection. Mid (Team 2): Puka Nacua , WR LAR Despite Smith-Njigba’s ascendence, it was actually Nacua who led the position in scoring in 2025. As a player who’s averaged 95 YPG and 9.7 YPT for his career, there’s an argument to be made that he should be leading the ADP. My suspicion is that a bizarre off-season has introduced a grain of skepticism amongst owners, but not enough such that he’s not the easy selection here. Late (Team 3): Ashton Jeanty , RB LV No, Jeanty’s rookie campaign wasn’t what dynasty owners were hoping for, though he still concluded 2025 as the PPR RB11. However, there were positive signs, including an above-average 2.1 yards after contact per attempt, and an elite tackle broken per every 11.1 rushing attempts. It would not be surprising to see Jeanty take flight as a second-year player on what should be a significantly improved Las Vegas squad. Round 2 SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
