As I go through the many steps of preparing my dynasty league for its 16th season, updating all of the rosters, replacing an owner here or there, and paying the $110(!) renewal fee, it occurred to me.... I've been a loyal customer for, well, 16 years now. The functionality and customization options (I say this as a web developer) is second to none. The few problems I've encountered over the past decade and a half have been resolved quickly. The Commissioner interface and controls have changed very little over the years. No real improvements, no app, just the basics. Over this same timeframe, fantasy football platforms have been evolving and expanding, while MFL is pretty much the same old product. If you're looking to join a new league under r-findaleague it's 90% sleeper leagues with some ESPN, Yahoo, Fantrax, RSO mixed in. Which makes me wonder, who exactly is signing up for MFL these days? If they aren't acquiring any new users, how can they be a sustainable business if their market share is very likely decreasing every season? In 2024 they changed ownership to a company called First Pick Labs, Inc.. Google's AI bot says "The company is a small, privately held enterprise consisting of about 2 to 10 employees." How much time can this company realistically hold out against the fantasy platform giants before they are bought out -- or close up shop? submitted by /u/SammyWatkinsIV [link] [comments]
