Hey, in our dynasty league (16-team ppr idp) we have been together for 10 years now and we - the 5 commisioners - are debating to change it up a bit. We were discussing a whole reset of the league, but people are so attached to their star players that this isn't a viable solution. That's why we came up with the following and I want to hear your opinion: Everybody can keep 5 players of their likings from their team (supposedly their best) and all other players get put into this years draft. That draft is then changed to snake and the order will be determined. How this will happen, I'm not sure. My first idea was to use an FF site and thier trade values (e.g. FantasyPros Dynasty Trade Value Chart) and calculate the overall value of everybodys 5 keepers. The "worst" team then picks first put to the "best" team that picks last. This would also give us the chance to switch to SF, since we are kinda redrafting and if a team has two good QBs you could already keep them with your 5 keepers. But there are a couple of problems: What about the 2026 rookies? One idea is to do it in one big draft (because two drafts in one off-season will be a time problem in this league lol). But this would mean the 2026 picks are just wiped since everything falls into the snake logic. That doesn't seem fair for people that collected 26 pics and people who traded away their picks (like me). Is this even fair? There are teams who have 5 star players and there are teams who have only 3 or 4. Even though the latter ones would pick early, is having an early pick in a draft that starts with the (16x5=80, so) 81st best player enough value to compensate for the difference in the keepers? Happy to hear your feedback. submitted by /u/Glad_Bug_2717 [link] [comments]
