Dynasty rookie drafts are in full swing, and as we take stock of our returning IDP talent, it helps to know which veterans got a value boost and which ones took a kick in the pants. The AFC version covered some obvious and not-so-obvious studs and duds, from winners Chop Robinson , Cooper McDonald and Justin Walley to losers Mike Green , Tyrel Dodson and Chamarri Conner. The second half of this two-part series focuses on the NFC, and again considers all five IDP position groups. Edge Rushers Winner: Dallas Turner , MIN Yes, the Vikings seem very likely to add a veteran EDGE prior to training camp, but Turner remains a massive draft weekend winner following the trade of Jonathan Greenard to Philadelphia. On the heels of a breakout campaign during which he tallied eight sacks and 66 combined tackles, Turner looks set to exceed the 702 (66 percent) snaps he saw as a sophomore as he takes over as a starter opposite Andrew Van Ginkel . The 17th overall pick of the 2024 draft is up into my top 15 overall dynasty IDP rankings. Loser: Kayvon Thibodeaux , NYG Thibodeaux’s 11.5-sack, 50-tackle year two seems long ago, and he’s no doubt been a disappointment over the past two years, with his dynasty stock entering a tailspin since the Giants drafted Abdul Carter with the third overall pick in 2025. In April when Big Blue drafted hybrid off-ball/EDGE Arvell Reese , it made too much sense that New York would deal Thibodeaux and regain some draft capital. So it’s a real bummer that Thibodeaux is still wearing Giants colors because a fresh start would probably benefit his fantasy outlook for 2026. Here’s hoping next off-season brings strong interest in free agency. Winner: Lukas Van Ness , GB I’ve heard more than a few times about the supposed strides Van Ness made in 2025, but even if you double his production (he played in just nine games in ‘25 due to a foot injury) his numbers are fairly in line with his career average. And three-and-a-half sacks and 33 total tackles isn’t winning anyone anything in fantasy. So while Van Ness is certainly a post-draft winner considering Green Bay’s top addition was fourth-rounder Dani Dennis-Sutton – remember Micah Parsons is recovering from a mid-December torn ACL – I’m using this opportunity to shop and hopefully sell Van Ness. I just don’t think we’re going to see enough improvement to warrant a startable asset. Losers: Nolan Smith and Arnold Ebiketie , PHI While Turner was a strong dynasty winner in the Greenard trade, Greenard’s new Philly teammates, Smith and Ebeketie, are distinctive losers. Smith, whose third season was impacted by a triceps tear that cost him five games, had already fallen behind the ascending Jalyx Hunt on the passing downs. All is not lost – Smith will still see a decent role and the Eagles picked up his fifth-year option – but the snap ceiling that is needed for starting consideration doesn’t look to be there. The snap volume impact is even greater for Ebiketie, who moved to Philadelphia in free agency. He didn’t have much fantasy value to begin with, following a disappointing start to his career in Atlanta. He’s droppable in almost all formats. Winners: Austin Booker and Dayo Odeyingbo , CHI Like Minnesota, Chicago seems very likely to add a veteran EDGE presence before or during training camp. For now, Booker is going to see plenty of time playing second fiddle to Montez Sweat . The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Booker enjoyed a low-key breakout over the second half of his sophomore campaign,…
