We’re about one week into 2026 free agency. Most of the notable names have signed contracts already, though a few significant players still remain available. This league changes on a dime, and while it’s not wise to get too ahead of ourselves, there are some benefits to looking ahead in order to make decisions now. The purpose of this piece is to preview the potential of the 2027 free agency class. In doing so, we can look at which players may become available at this time next year for dynasty purposes as well as predict how their 2026 may go from a redraft perspective. The below post contains excerpts from a fuller, FREE article via FTN Fantasy here: https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/looking-ahead-to-the-2027-nfl-free-agency-class Any predictions for remaining free agents? Early calls for 2027 free agency and where you want to see certain players head to next off-season? Who’s going to make the most of their 2026 contract year? Let’s hear it in the comments. RUNNING BACK Jonathan Taylor finished third in rush yards (1,585) and first in rushing touchdowns (18) last season. It’s his third season over the last five years, and second in a row, with over 300 carries and 1,400 or more rush yards. Taylor will turn 28 at the end of next season and, depending on the Colts’ success and trajectory, he could hit the open market for one last big contract. That said, another 300 carries could be in store for Taylor before Indianapolis potentially lets him walk. Tony Pollard could be the odd man out soon in Tennessee. If the Titans draft Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love fourth overall, he will join a running back room with Pollard and Tyjae Spears, both of which are entering contract years. Pollard, who’s 29 years old, could ask for his release or a trade for a larger opportunity elsewhere. Either way, it’s hard to imagine Pollard on the Titans in 2027. He’s logged at least 275 touches and 1,288 scrimmage yards in each of the last three seasons. Chase Brown currently leads a Bengals backfield of Samaje Perine, Tahj Brooks and Gary Brightwell. Brown has logged 283 and 301 touches with 1,350 and 1,456 all-purpose yards over the last two seasons. He hasn’t rushed for more than 1,019 yards in any of his first three seasons and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Bengals look for a more complete back to replace him in 2027. Link to article for more potential 2027 RB Free Agents WIDE RECEIVER Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($23.8 mil), Zay Flowers ($27.2 mil), Jordan Addison ($18.0 mil) and Quentin Johnston ($18.0 mil) are each eligible to have their fifth-year options exercises for the 2027 season. That decision needs to be made by each respective team on or before May 1, 2026. The projected value for each player is reflected above. Smith-Njigba set career-highs across the board with a 119/1,793/10 receiving line capping the season off with a Super Bowl title. He’s most likely of this group to receiving a long-term extension before camp. Flowers could have his options declined based on cost but agree to a long-term extension. Addison and Johnston may be names to watch on the trade market. Christian Watson tore his ACL in Week 18 of the 2024 season. It caused him to miss the first seven games of the 2025 season. Thankfully, the Packers signed Watson to a one-year extension for the 2026 season back in September of 2025 so he would not have to worry about hitting free agency this offseason. Now, Watson, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks are set to be free agents in 2027. I…
