Keeper League: Draft Pick Trade Balance

Do you force teams to have the same number of draft picks as rounds in the draft? My league mates have been pushing to remove the "balance of trade" requirements (i.e. you must receive the equivalent number of picks you send in return). Aside from simplifying the draft process, it removes the keeper math headache and forces teams to not fall into boom/bust cycles year to year... more than they already do.
