I was at Stanford Stadium on July 4, 1994, for the U.S.-Brazil game in the round of 16. Brazil won, 1-0, and I remember thinking it would not be long before the U.S. would make a deep, deep run. Thirty-two years later, I admit that I know absolutely nothing about soccer.
