Rookie hype and helium are a tradition of NFL training camp and the preseason. NFL teams want to see what they have in their newest players, and the fans are excited about the unlimited potential of these players. Beat writers know that rookies get clicks, so they write more and more about their team’s draft class. The fantasy football community reacts to this extra attention and raises players up the board. The 2026 rookie class has been widely considered a bad one, but that has created a buying opportunity prior to the hype of camp. Here are five players who I believe will rise up the ADP board during training camp and preseason, but whether you believe in them enough to buy them is up to you! Nicholas Singleton , RB TEN (ADP: 133, RB43) Singleton seems like the type of running back the Titans were hoping to get out of Tyjae Spears . He’s an explosive, big-play running back who excels in the return game and the passing game. He isn’t the model of great health, but at least he doesn’t have a degenerative knee problem like Spears reportedly has. Singleton was on track to be one of the top running backs in this year’s class, I believe he’ll get plenty of opportunities in the preseason to earn the number two job, and may even split carries right off the bat with Spears behind Tony Pollard . Pollard is a fine running back, but he works best in a committee, and has proven to wear down with aggressive workloads in previous seasons. Singleton’s pass-catching ability and big-play tendencies are the traits that lead to solid fantasy production on limited touches.
