Fantasy football is a game decided by numbers. In this four-part series, I’ll be reviewing advanced player metrics via Player Profiler from the 2025 season - to explain the true story behind the data, combine this with factors from the off-season and provide actionable advice in dynasty. The third article in the series will focus on a trio of wide receivers, analyzing metrics to give a true reflection of performance and expectations moving forward. The previous article on running backs can be found here . Luther Burden , WR CHI Targets: WR61 Receptions: WR45 Target Rate: WR19 Snap Share: WR123 Target Depth: WR87 Designed Targets: WR10 Designed Target Share%: WR11 Catchable Target Rate: WR1 First Read Target Share: WR80 First Downs Per Route Ran: WR12 Yards Per Route Run: WR3 Yards Per Target: WR7 Yards After Catch: WR16 Total Touchdowns: WR71 True Catch Rate: WR70 Drops: WR10 Target Separation: WR2 Target Premium: WR11 Fantasy Points Per Route: WR7 Fantasy Points Per Target: WR10 Fantasy Points Per Game: WR50 One of the most hyped up wide receivers this off-season is sophomore Luther Burden - a player who was the WR50 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) as a rookie, yet saw his value rise and maintain as a top-20 asset at the position. Arguably the most interesting metric for Burden is the WR123 in snap share, amazing considering he played a minimal amount of game time yet is valued highly at the market. He was only the WR61 in targets and the WR80 in first read target share, also low numbers in the context of his value. One of the key metrics in understanding the love for Burden is his WR19 finish in target rate or targets per route run, an indicator of talent and a simple sum of more routes would equal more targets. Burden was excellent at moving the chains, as the WR12 in first downs per route run. While he wasn’t the primary option on the majority of the Bears’ offensive plays, Burden was schemed touches, as the WR10 in designed targets and the WR11 in designed target share. Burden is strong in a number of metrics, which were facilitated by the WR87 score in target depth, which also led to him being the league-best WR1 in catchable target rate. SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
