Fantasy football is a game decided by numbers. In this four-part series, I’ll be reviewing advanced player metrics via Player Profiler from the 2025 season - to explain the true story behind the data, combine this with factors from the off-season and provide actionable advice in dynasty. The second article in the series will focus on a trio of running backs, analyzing metrics to give a true reflection of performance and expectations moving forward. Ashton Jeanty , RB LV Opportunity Share %: RB1 Weighted Opportunities: RB7 Carries: RB7 Targets: RB7 Red Zone Touches: RB15 Rushing Yards: RB18 Receiving Yards: RB10 Fantasy Points Per Opportunity: RB52 Target Share: RB6 Routes Run: RB5 True Yards Per Carry: RB63 Yards Per Touch: RB52 Juke Rate: RB5 Evaded Tackles: RB4 Breakaway Runs: RB36 Yards Created Per Touch: RB15 Run Blocking Rating: RB62 Defenders In The Box: RB51 Stuffed Runs: RB1 Fantasy Points Per Game: RB15 Despite a relatively disappointing rookie season, finishing as the RB15 in fantasy points per game (FPPG), there is an air of positivity for running back Ashton Jeanty. In general, the 2025 advanced metrics of Jeanty support this dynasty perception. Jeanty’s volume was exceptional, as the RB1 in opportunity share percentage and RB7 in weighted opportunities, with the volume perfectly balanced - as the RB7 in both carries and targets. In the receiving game, there were glimpses of potential elite volume, with Jeanty the RB5 in routes run and the RB6 in target share at the position. While the volume and opportunity were excellent for Jeanty, the surrounding talent and situation negated his output - with only the 15th most red zone touches, and lower than expected rushing yards (RB18) and receiving yards (RB10), considering the relative volume in these areas.
