Fantasy football is a game decided by numbers. In this four part series, I’ll be reviewing advanced player metrics via Player Profiler from the 2025 season - to explain the true story behind the data, combine this with factors from the off-season and provide actionable advice in dynasty. The first article in the series will focus on a trio of quarterbacks, analyzing metrics to give a true reflection of performance and expectations moving forward. Jalen Hurts , QB PHI Pass Attempts: QB17 Passing Yards: QB16 Passing Touchdowns: QB9 Money Throws: QB13 Danger Plays: QB18 Interceptable Passes: QB24 True Passer Rating: QB8 Red Zone Completion %: QB2 Receiver Target Separation: QB46 Carries Per Game: QB4 Red Zone Carries Per Game: QB2 Rushing Touchdowns: QB4 Fantasy Points Per Game (FPPG): QB8 Expected FPPG: QB6 For a player who is consistently talked down in the dynasty community and suffered through ex-offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo’s vanilla offense, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts put up a solid 2026 performance in terms of advanced metrics. Despite hovering around league average in both pass attempts and passing yardage, Hurts was efficient where it mattered the most, performing as a top-ten quarterback in passing touchdowns. Hurts performed better than expected in money throws (critical throws in clutch moments), while also displaying solid risk aversion as he performed well in both danger plays (unnecessary risk taken) and interceptable passes (passes thrown within the catch radius of a defender). Hurts was excellent as a passer in the red zone and a strong true passer rating (factoring out thrown-away and dropped passes), despite his receivers failing to generate consistent separation. As usual, Hurts was money as a runner, finishing as a top-four quarterback in carries per game, red zone carries per game and rushing touchdowns. The dual-threat ability is a huge catalyst for Hurts’ excellent fantasy production, finishing as the QB8 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) and with an expected FPPG of QB6. Impressively, the QB8 outcome was Hurts’ worst season as a starter for fantasy production, previously finishing QB6, QB2, QB1 and QB6 in FPPG over the previous four seasons. Verdict Hurts provides consistent QB1 production and often towards elite territory, with 2026 being a down year overall. Looking deeper at the advanced metrics, Hurts was solid and superior to the ‘average passing quarterback’ label he gets from pockets of the dynasty community. The Eagles’ offense is in transition, replacing Patullo with former Packers’ quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion and the receiving core will see a huge turnover, with the trade away of AJ Brown , the addition of exciting rookies Makai Lemon and building the veteran depth with Hollywood Brown and Dontayvion Wicks . Hurts’ fantasy record speaks for itself; he’s a player I always want to lean into, given the elite dual-threat upside. The transition of the Eagles’ offense creates an air of uncertainty, but I’m happy to take the discount and pursue Hurts in all roster constructions this off-season. SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
