The Latest Fantasy Football News Emari Demercado, RB — Kansas City Chiefs Demercado showing as No. 2 back in Kansas City OTAs behind Kenneth Walker A to Z Sports reports Demercado is closer to RB2 in Kansas City than any other player and is very high on the team’s depth chart. He’s the No. 2 back in every drill at OTAs and has potential to be the primary back on passing downs, which adds PPR value. Jonathon Brooks, RB — Carolina Panthers Panthers have expectations of Brooks potentially being lead back over Chuba Hubbard NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reports the Panthers view Brooks as a potential lead back if healthy. Brooks is recovering from a torn ACL suffered during his final college season and then tore the same ACL in just his third career game. Health will be the key factor in determining his role. Chris Olave, WR — New Orleans Saints Olave present at OTAs amid ongoing contract negotiations Olave has been present at Saints OTAs while the team works through contract discussions. His participation and availability will be important to monitor as the team prepares for the season. Bhayshul Tuten, RB — Jacksonville Jaguars Explosive running back continues to shine during mandatory minicamp practices Sports Illustrated’s John Shipley reports that Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten “continues to look like one of the most explosive elements of the entire offense.” During the first of three mandatory minicamp practices on Tuesday, Tuten “left the defense firmly in his dust on several big runs.” While these are pad-less practices, Tuten is making a strong case for a larger-than-expected workload, though competition from Chris Rodriguez (foot injury) remains. Patrick Mahomes, QB — Kansas City Chiefs Mahomes now partially participating in voluntary workouts; vows to be ready for Week 1; leads early CPOY odds Mahomes took a significant step in his comeback from a knee injury, partially participating in Chiefs voluntary workouts. He has consistently stated his target is Week 1. For fantasy purposes, Mahomes returning healthy and motivated is a massive signal - he should be treated as a top 10 QB once cleared fully. Joe Burrow, QB — Cincinnati Bengals Bengals restructure Burrow’s contract, freeing up $10M in cap space for 2026 Per Adam Schefter and confirmed by an AP source, the Bengals converted a portion of Burrow’s salary into a signing bonus, creating $10M in cap flexibility. Sam Howell / Joe Milton, QB — Dallas Cowboys Cowboys holding open QB2 competition; HC Schottenheimer says Howell and Milton get equal reps HC Brian Schottenheimer confirmed Tuesday that Sam Howell and Joe Milton will receive equal reps competing for the backup QB role behind Dak Prescott. Milton had been firmly entrenched as the QB2 last season, but Howell — who has over a full season of starts — is pushing hard.
