Derwin James Jr. inks three-year extension with Chargers Derwin James signed a three-year extension for $25.2 million per year with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday. Fantasy Impact: James' newest extension also features $57.5 million of guaranteed money. He will continue to be the focal point of the Charger defense going forward, coming off a second-team All-Pro season last year. James has developed into a safety-linebacker hybrid throughout his career and totaled 94 tackles last season.
