Just want to hear some stories or advice from people who have shipped off a future 1st round pick that wanted/tried to buy it back. For context had a startup draft last year where I sold a 2027 1st so I could get another reciever since I felt my depth was lacking. I still feel the trade was a good move in terms of value, but the reality is my team was not the competitor I thought it was, and I want to blow it up and start a rebuild. On principle I don't want to ship off my aging or competitive pieces and tank just to hand another team the 1st overall pick. So in my eyes I either find a way to buy that pick back before the 2027 hype train gets even bigger or I just hold my rebuild off til 2028. Not an ideal situation, but wondered if anyone else has similar experiences/thoughts. submitted by /u/JDRobin [link] [comments]
