This year, outside of Love and Price, the rookie rb situation is terrible. The second tier of rookies like Coleman and Singleton are priced a mid-2nd rounders but project as immediate RB3s behind paid, veteran starters and have steep path to consistent playtime. The next tier profile as handcuffs at best behind established RBs in long-term situations. Unlikely to produce except for injury - main value is as a handcuff. Examples: Emmit Johnson, Mike Washington, Kaelon Black… Finally, there are the late round picks with significant player profile issues. Normally these players don’t get drafted but this year, they are being propped to 3rd round picks. Examples: Claiborne, K. Allen, McGowan… In short, recognizing that this rookie rb is significantly overpriced, is it worth it to invest a draft pick at the position or punt on drafting rb entirely in favor of a more likely producer at wr or te, where you can find better draft capital/opportunity/snaps and at a similar draft position. submitted by /u/AB6716 [link] [comments]
