The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Ted Hurst Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers College Team: Georgia State Draft Status: Round 3; Pick 84 Hurst was born in Augusta, GA, and played his high school football at Sol C. Johnson in Savannah. He spent most of his prep career as a defensive back before becoming a two-way player as a senior, catching 41 passes for 591 yards and six touchdowns and earning team MVP honors. He was overlooked in the recruiting process as a no-star prospect, and his best offers came from the Division II level. He ultimately followed his older brother to Valdosta State. Two productive seasons with the Blazers (roughly 60 catches for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns across 20 starts) put him on the transfer radar. He drew several FCS offers but just one FBS offer, which he accepted, joining the Georgia State Panthers for the 2024 season. SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
