The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Taylen Green Position: Quarterback Pro Team: Cleveland Browns College Team: Arkansas Draft Status: Round 6; Pick 1 Taylen Green is from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and grew up in a basketball family. He gave up the round ball after eighth grade and focused on his football career. He played at Allen High School, a powerhouse program in Texas, but he was blocked on the depth chart, forcing him to transfer to Lewisville High School prior to his junior season. He led Lewisville to the 6A state playoffs as a senior, throwing for 2,431 yards and 22 touchdowns, adding 653-9 on the ground. As a three-star recruit, Green chose to attend Boise State over his other finalists, San Diego State and Wyoming. He was an All-American in his redshirt freshman season in 2022, throwing for 2,042 yards and 14 touchdowns, adding 10 more on the ground. 2023 was much more inconsistent, and he began to lose playing time to Maddux Madsen. He entered the transfer portal and chose to attend Arkansas. As a two-year starter for the Razorbacks, Green matured into a reliable quarterback. In two seasons, he threw for 5,868 yards, 34 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. On the ground, he racked up 1,379 yards and 16 touchdowns. He declared for the draft, participated in the Senior Bowl and made headlines at the NFL Combine. The Cleveland Browns selected him at the top of the sixth round at 182 overall.
