The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Draft Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Skyler Bell Position: WR Pro Team: Buffalo Bills College Team: Connecticut via Wisconsin Draft Status: Round 4, Pick 125 Despite fielding lucrative NIL offers during 2024’s off-season, Skyler Bell opted to spend his final collegiate season with Connecticut. While we are in an era where NFL teams prefer players to move up a level to showcase their wares against better competition, the decision worked out just fine for Bell. He became an All-American for the Huskies and secured fourth-round draft capital, finding a cozy landing spot with the Buffalo Bills. There was day two hope for Bell, but the Bills offer plenty of opportunity out wide. They made a big splash by adding DJ Moore via trade and have generally been a volume shooter when it comes to addressing their receiver need. Keon Coleman is close to being labeled a true bust, and free agency add Josh Palmer was unable to become a reliable weapon next to the steady if unspectacular Khalil Shakir . This weaponry was so limited that they needed to employ 32-year-old Brandin Cooks in critical situations during the playoffs.
