The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Nicholas Singleton Position: Running Back Pro Team: Tennessee Titans College Team: Penn State Draft Status: Round 5; Pick 165 Singleton was a five-star prospect coming out of Reading, Pennsylvania, where he played at Governor Mifflin High School. He was ranked as the number one RB in the country and the 19th player overall in the 2022 recruiting class . Singleton had offers from all the major programs in the nation and visited Alabama, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin before he committed to Penn State. As a true freshman, he excelled with 1,061 rushing yards and 12 rushing TDs while contributing in the receiving game with 11 receptions for 85 receiving yards and one touchdown. Singleton rocketed into the stratosphere with that season, where he then jumped into the top five of Rob Willette’s 2023 Devy 100 . All of us in the devy sphere were excited for Singleton, and he was seen as the next generational RB to come out of Penn State. In 2023, he struggled and only totaled 752 rushing yards, sliding down to number 15 on Rob’s 2024 list . An improved 2024 season saw Singleton jump back to the top ten of the Devy 100 . Unfortunately, all of Penn State fell off the cliff in 2025 as head coach James Franklin was fired, and the team underperformed, with Singleton falling just shy of 550 rushing yards. However, he did rush for 71 yards on ten carries with three TDs against the eventual CFB Champion Indiana defense.
