The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Draft Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Nate Boerkircher Position: Tight End Pro Team: Jacksonville Jaguars College Team: Texas A&M via Nebraska Draft Status: Round 2, Pick 56 Boerkircher was the first domino to fall in what became a run on tight ends in the 2026 NFL Draft. In many ways, we should have seen it coming. Charlie Kolar got a significant contract in free agency, and while he is not a player fantasy teams pay much mind to, his on-field contributions have caught the league’s notice. Tight ends who can win in the trenches and offer value beyond the box score are in vogue right now. He joins a Jacksonville team that took a huge step forward in 2025, with new head coach Liam Coen delivering in his first campaign. They lost significant personnel to free agency this off-season, making Boerkircher as their first draft selection all the more surprising, but they clearly have a plan for how he fits into their offense.
