The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. The Situation Name: Makai Lemon Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: Philadelphia Eagles College Team: USC Trojans Draft Status: Round 1; Pick 20 Lemon was born in Los Alamitos, California. After initially attending La Mirada High School as a freshman, he transferred to Los Alamitos High School, joining quarterback Malachi Nelson . Lemon finished his freshman season with 784 receiving yards and five touchdowns as a receiver, and four interceptions as a defensive back. He finished his sophomore season with 756 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, earning him first-team all-state by MaxPreps. He then hauled in 65 receptions for 1,062 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. The stats and accolades continued through his senior season, where he recorded 1,044 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named first-team All-American and first-team All-State. Lemon was ranked a five-star recruit and the 13th-best player nationally by ESPN. After initially committing to the Oklahoma Sooners, along with Nelson, both would later flip their commitment and follow head coach Lincoln Riley to the USC Trojans. As a freshman, Lemon saw minimal playing time and finished with only 88 yards. However, he did see some limited work as a cornerback due to injuries. He saw more meaningful playing time as a sophomore, recording 52 receptions, 756 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. He finished that season as the Trojans' leading receiver. As a senior, Lemon had solidified himself as the team’s primary receiving threat. He amassed 1,156 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 79 receptions.
