The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Draft Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Ja'Kobi Lane Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: Baltimore Ravens College Team: USC Draft Status: Round 3, Pick 80 While Jesse Minter was brought in to give the Ravens fresh eyes and a new direction on defense, it was sensible that the team would also add to its offense this off-season. Zay Flowers has developed into a very good receiver, but Rashod Bateman has plateaued as a complementary player, and tight end Mark Andrews has failed to recapture the magic from his great run in 2021 and 2022. The team needed more weaponry for Lamar Jackson , leading to a selection of Ja’Kobi Lane in round three. Few teams have a more established core than the Ravens, with Jackson, Derrick Henry , Flowers, and Andrews making up the bones of the offense. New offensive coordinator Declan Doyle is likely going to want more touch diversity, however, and the team has often proved too reliant on Jackson or Henry to create magic.
