The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Germie Bernard Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: Pittsburgh Steelers College Team: Alabama Draft Status: Round 2; Pick 47 A few years ago, Alabama were seen as the top contenders to be referred to as “wide receiver university”, with prospects such as Jaylen Waddle , DeVonta Smith , Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs emerging. Since then, Ohio State has become the clear top producer of receiving talent, but Germie Bernard has a chance to be the next Alabama receiver to light up the NFL. Bernard didn’t start life at Alabama, starting with Michigan State and playing all 12 games as a true freshman. He then played his sophomore season with Washington as they reached the national championship, but played behind NFL receivers Rome Odunze , Ja'Lynn Polk and Jalen McMillan . He moved to Bam and in 2024 he exploded for 50 receptions for 794 yards and two touchdowns before beating that total in 2025. His 64 catches for 862 yards and seven scores led to him being a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. Talent Bernard’s measurables courtesy of Mock Draftable . Bernard is more of an all-rounder than a specialist receiver. He has true alignment versatility, allowing him to line up anywhere on the field, including in the backfield where he added some value in the rushing game in college. SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
