The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Demond Claiborne Position: Running Back Pro Team: Minnesota Vikings College Team: Wake Forest Draft Status: Round 6, Pick 17 The Minnesota Vikings had a disappointing season in 2025 and much of it was do to uneven play from young quarterback JJ McCarthy . In the first five games, he struggled with completion percentage and in the last five games, his completion percentage improved to over 60% each game. That said, McCarthy still only had two games over 200 passing yards and Justin Jefferson was constantly frustrated. The Vikings brought in Kyler Murray to compete with McCarthy in 2026 and spent most of the NFL Draft addressing the defense. Six of the first seven picks were to improve the defensive side of the ball. The first pick on offense was a fullback in the fifth round and then Demond Claiborne was selected in the sixth round. At first glance, it looks like just a depth piece but Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason have had health issues. So could Claiborne play a substantial role in 2026? SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
