The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Carnell Tate Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: Tennessee Titans College Team: Ohio State Draft Status: Round 1; Pick 4 Tate was a five-star recruit, coming out of high school at the 62nd overall prospect nationally and the tenth wide receiver in his recruiting class. It was no surprise to see him then decide to declare for Ohio State, now seen as the premier destination for any wide receiver, and certainly the WR factory for the NFL. Tate burst straight into life in his first season in college, with 18 receptions for 264 yards and a touchdown. It’s worth noting that this was more than what Chris Olave , Marvin Harrison Jr , and Jaxon Smith-Njigba achieved in their own rookie years as Buckeyes. Tate was also playing behind Harrison and Emeka Egbuka , so these figures might not have been world-beating, but they were notable. SUBSCRIBE TO DLF PREMIUM!
