The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market. Situation Name: Bryce Lance Position: Wide Receiver Pro Team: New Orleans Saints College Team: NDSU Draft Status: Round four, pick 136 Every year, there will be prospects at every single position who are pure projections. Trey Lance might have been the most heightened version of that when he came out of college, but his brother Bryce isn’t too far behind. Lance had an incredibly limited sample size at North Dakota State, where he redshirted his first season, played entirely on special teams in his second, and had just one reception in his third year. It would’ve been easy to assume that it was never going to happen for Lance, but he exploded in his fourth year in college in a way that absolutely no one would have seen coming. He went for 1,053 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns in the regular season - a total that led every receiver in the FCS and tied the Missouri Valley Football Conference's single-season record. Lance followed that up with a similarly explosive 2025 season. While he had nine fewer touchdowns, he managed to gain a similar receiving yardage total on 24 fewer receptions, justifying his decision to turn down offers from bigger schools to transfer for his final year in college. Lance leaves NDSU third on their all-time list with 25 receiving touchdowns - an unbelievable feat given the first three years of his career. The question now is what Lance will be in the NFL.
